An abundance of paint supplies will be made available by the ‘Sco staff, and all are welcome to contribute to the the creation of a a 3’x12’ community painting that will celebrate both the history and the future of the Africana diaspora

Born Livingston Matthews in Birmingham, Alabama, artist Pink Siifu is truly amongst the most dynamic and profoundly gifted contemporary Black musicians. His grandmother was a civil rights activist, and his father a skilled saxaphone player before his birth; in learning from their experiences, both would greatly influence his development as an artist. Although he had always loved sounds, Siifu first began recording his poetry in his first year of college. Now 27 years old (as of mad recently) Siifu has used the time since then to navigate and explore his potential in numerous genres and forms and musical expression. This process has delivered him from Ohio to places like New York and L.A., where his immersion in different artistic communities has shaped and reimagined the way he produces his art. In that time, he has released music under names like iiye, Fly Siifu, B. Cool-Aid, Liv Martez, working with artists such as Ahwlee, Fly Anakin, Swarvy, MIKE, Jeremiah Jae, Pyramid Vritra, and Maxo. All of it has been fire.
